11 000 Season Ticket Sales Only?
"Sell us our season tickets" Little evidence so far.
Back in May, the Aston Villa Supporters Trust posed a direct statement to David O'Leary and the board: 'Sell us our season tickets.' As yet, there has been little evidence that the club is doing anything to reassure existing season ticket holders, nor to attract new support and it is believed that season ticket take up so far is well below that of last year.
The frustration being felt at the lack of transfer activity at the club is self-evident, yet the only news emanating from Villa Park seems to centre around potential departures and worrying signs of financial restrictions.
As we approach the midway point of the close season, the club seems unwilling to recognise that many supporters believe the coming months will bring nothing but further disappointment. The AVST therefore calls upon the board and senior management of the club to reassure us that the club's future is secure in their stewardship.
