Samuel Wants A Draw!

Jlloyd Samuel says he has mixed feelings about the England v Trinidad and Tobago match that kicks off this evening.

Samuel had hoped to be able to play for T&T but FIFA rejected the application.

He told his icons website: 'It's been hard watching it knowing I came close to being allowed to play for Trinidad Tobago and that I could be out in Germany, but even so it's been a good tournament so far with some spectacular goals. I really enjoyed the Trinidad v Sweden game. They did really well to hold out, especially with ten men, and they were a credit to themselves. I think a lot of people were surprised by how well they played, but I wasn't at all. They've got some good players and clearly had no intention to be made mugs of.'

He also says that Trinidad could 'surprise' England and although he isn't convinced they could, he does think a draw could be on the cards. 'That'd certainly be the best result for me, because I'm caught in two minds as to who to support.'

Sorry, England will win this by at least two clear goals, trust me!

England to crush the T&T resistance, no worries!
The Fear
He was born and raised in England but when he realised that he's never going to get a game for England he wanted to play for T&T. Now he wants a draw cause he can't pick a country to be loyal to! tool

i would have thought u guys would have lernt ur lesson after our wee country N Ireland beat u guys.I know u have world class players all over the pitch and on paper should destroy T&T just hope it dont all blow up in ur face.

A tool indeed OPM, It's about time they stopped all this rubbish with internationals. Who you play for should be determined by where you were born and nothing else. We'd then also stop wee countries like N Ireland picking players who have only ever eaten a potato or whispered beejaybers in jest.

Agree FEn_100. Where you're born is who you should play for. Perhaps the odd exception, like officially becoming a citizen of a country, and having not played for the country of your birth then you could be eligible for your adopted nation, but thats it. None of this, his great grandparents were from Macaroon so he's eligble to represent them. Its getting ridiculous.
