Lee Hendrie Should Get Testimonial

Vital Villa asked if Lee Hendrie should be given a testimonial.

44% said no because players are paid enough without testimonials.

Over 50% said yes with 38% of them saying not only should he get one but that they would attend. 16% said he should but that they wouldn't go.

Only 2% said not if he is sold.

I wonder what Lee will do with the proceeds if he gets his testimonial... Surely he doesn't need the money?
GaztonVilla
Give him his testimonial. No matter what has been said - he always gave 110%

Think he would do so much better if he said the money was for a charity, that would get fans interested then, not going to pay to get him another porsche!
The Fear
For most players, a testimonial is a thank you for long service, so why shouldn't they keep the money from it? If you don't want to contribute, dont go !!
FEn_100
I think in years gone by that was the case but now days footballers are well minted and could easily show they have some credability by doing something positive like giving a large percentage of it to charity if not all of it.

A thank you???? These players are on £20k a week or more, how much bigger a thank you do they need?
The Fear
There seems to be bad feeling developing between Lee and the club over this testimonial game. If he was promised one, which he obviously was, then Ellis/Stride should honour the commitment. Those who want to attend the game, do so, those who dont, stay away.

this saga ia embarrasing is not exactly the type of news you want when yiur trying to lure new plwyers to the villa.

A testimonial should only be used for exceptional circumstances,ie, a young player having his career cut short, or a one club only man. They pay alot to the PFA to look after their interests?
