Villa Striker In The Shop Window

Villa Striker In The Shop Window

Milan Baros put himself firmly in the shop window with both Monaco and Paris St Germain apparently weighing up bids for the Villa striker.

Baros scored in the 15th minute with a great solo goal for the Czech Republic in their 2-0 pre World Cup friendly v Saudi Arabia.

Villa will be happy as they need the money to fund summer signings and Baros is the player who will attract the biggest fee.

Our latest poll, suggested by Villain of the North, asks what Baros is worth.

Paris Saint Germain and Monaco have so far registered interest. Would he really fancy a move to France as he did turn down Monaco last year. We wont sell before the world cup anyway.

Do you presume that he is going to have an injury free year? Not sure that he will, and i think a good thing if you get money for him now.

I do not think we should even consider selling unless we get offered silly money between £12m and £18m. I cannot see either of the french teams being able to afford his wages or match his ambition. A fantastic World Cup and some of the Italian, Spanish or German Big boys will get interested and then we would possibly have an auction situation, which IF managed correctly would maximise the proft made on him>

If he didn't fancy Lyon last year then PSG and Monaco won't do any better. A big team will want him after the WC but we should do a palace and hold on to him unless we get what we want. 18m would do wonders for our team.
