Villa - GOTCHA Gabby Agbonlahor

Villa - GOTCHA Gabby Agbonlahor

Not sure if the official site are trying to help generate some excitement amongst the fans and give us something to cheer but putting up:

Webflash - Striker Signs

Is a bit much when it is simply a contract extension?

Great news non-the-less as Gabriel Agbonlahor has agreed a new improved contract after breaking into the main team at the end of last season.

The 19-year-old scored on his debut v Everton at Goodison Park and has been deployed as a winger at times jumping ahead of Luke Moore in the pecking order late last season.

Gabby is a home grown Academy talent who one day will be talked about in the same glowing terms that Thierry Henry currently is. Trust me, I know (nothing) about these things.

It's great news but from what I've heard (Not had chance to see him play yet) he lacks the ability to shoot consistantly, so perhaps O'Leary has actually got it right (never thought I'd say that :-)) playing him on the wing, and as we all know, class wingers like Giggs still weigh in with their share of goals and can really terrorize defences.

Good news. Hopefully he'll score a few more next season!
