Another Defender Commits To Villa

Gary Cahill is set to sign a new three year contract to joining fellow youth defender Liam Ridgwell in securing their long term futures to Aston Villa.

The highly rated 20-year old central defender, tipped by many as the cream of the youth academy guys, was being targeted by other Premiership clubs said: 'I've only had a handful of first-team games and want to push on from my run and learn quickly. It's no good just getting this experience, what I have to do is learn from it and become a better player.

Good news, i want to see more of him. Big and strong for a young lad. He's got an eye for goal too which is rare for a centre back..they usually only come from Brazil!

good luck to him, if laursen can get fit we are now resonably well covered in central defence
