Villa Make Bid Shocker?!
Aston Villa make a bid shocker?
According to the Mirror, Aston Villa made a £3million bid for Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Joleon Lescott yesterday.
The bid was turned down flat and the price quoted for the centre-half was £5million. Expect a story linking Lee Hendrie as part of the deal any day soon.
The rumours that O'Leary has been looking at Lescott have persisted for months, Vital Villa asked the editor of Vital Wolves a few months back whether he would be a good player to buy:

Everton have also been linked.
Meanwhile Chelsea have put a price tag of around £5.5million for German international defender Robert Huth who has also been a long term target of David O'Leary.

Would be a very good signing, It would make good business for Wolves as well if Hendrie went as part of the deal.

Has to be just paper talk. Even I don't believe we actually made a bid for someone. Unless The Menace knew it would be rejected.
