Villa's Goal Of The Season Award

I had to re-run the Goal of the season award as the original poll was done before the home game v the Blues!

Originally we had 4% for Gabriel Agbonlahor's debut goal v Everton. 5% voting for Steven Davis v Charlton, 5% voting for Luke Moore's third goal v Middlesbrough, 22% saying Kevin Phillips goal v Birmingham was the best goal and 32% voting for Thierry Henry's goal against us.

So, following Cahill's wonder goal v Birmingham city, I eliminated Gabby's debut goal as it had the lowest votes. The final poll results then became:

Davis v Charlton 0%
Moore's 3rd goal v Boro 1%
Henry's goal against us 1%
Angel's goal v Everton 4%
Phillips v Blues 5%

and the clear winner with his spectacular overhead kick was Gary Cahill with 89% of the vote. Take a bow that man, oh and sign a contract PLEASE!

I'll never tire of watching it. A superb finish. The fact that it was against our very good friends and neighbours from Small Heath made it even more of a pleasure to witness. One that I feel deserves a mention also was Gavs leveler at St. James Park. I thought he took that well, plus it won us a very useful point. Made the journey home that much easier (despite missing that late spot kick).
