Best Game Of The Season Award

Right, at last we are onto the more cheerful and positive awards. First up is the best game of the season and lets face it, the result was a no contest really!

Nobody voted for the 2-1 victory over West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns.

Just 2% voted for the 1-0 away win at St Andrews versus Birmingham City.

3% voted for the Boxing Day home 4-0 win against Everton.

7% said the best game of the season was the shock 4-0 win against Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium.

5% said the highlight of the season was the pies!

So the winner, with a massive 83% was the 3-1 victory over local rivals Small Heath. As the song goes, 'we'll meet again, don't know where (but we hope it isn't in the Championship) don't know when (but we hope it isn't next season). Or something like that.

I still think personally that it had to be the demolition of Boro at The Riverside. A superb 90 minutes, and I to this day I still dont think our showing received the applause and the credit it merited.
