O'Leary won't be facing police charges following his after match run across the pitch after our 1-0 win over Small Heath. However he has been reprimanded by the FA. He faces an FA hearing into his comments to Graham Poll during the same game and is now possibly in more hot water following more excuses, sorry I meant comments from the boss after the loss to Liverpool.
Baros is confident that he will return from international duty fully fit and ready to shoot Villa up the Premiership league. He said: 'I'd gone three weeks without any training but now I've played. I was a bit tired on Saturday but hopefully when I come back from the internationals I will be back up there fitness wise and my performance can improve.'
Baros played for an hour in the 1-0 victory over Norway in the Czech Republics World Cup play off.
Jumper Jumper is another in the long line of players who have questioned if they have a future at Villa Park. I didn't realise, but he has only started four games in 10 months. He isn't angling for a move, he just wants to know if he features in the managers plans, he says he has interest from abroad but would rather stay and play for Villa.
Jlloyd has been linked to a move back to Charlton. The player was also linked to Liverpool recently. The News Of The World today claim Curbishly might bid £6million for him!
Bakke is thankful to DOL for the chance to get his injury ravaged career back on track. He says he would like to stay all season and is shocked at the position Villa find themselves in. He says Villa now have to battle to get out of the bottom four and admits Villa should at the very least be 10th.
Some good news for O'Leary and the injury list. Looks like Bouma who was suffering with a hamstring injury and Hughes who had surgery on a groin problem have returned to fitness. The pair have been training at Bodymoor Heath this week and could be set for returns in next weekends 6 pointer against Sunderland.
Meanwhile, Phillips has admitted he had some great times at Sunderland and that he would still be there if they had stayed up. The hot shot scored over 20 goals four seasons in a row for them. However, he says his concentration is now on winning the game for Villa.
