O'Leary In Hot Water

David O'Leary will not face police action for the strange after match celebration against Small Heath in October. O'Leary, who ran across the pitch to gesture to the board, was investigated because Birmingham fans thought he was gesteculating to them. A police spokesman said 'We have liased with the FA and they are looking into it independently. We are not looking into any criminal conduct.' The fashion police added 'Although David's sheep skin coat is very nice, we are unsure whether he should really be having his collar up, we feel it is a little too 70's'. His coat was unavailable for comment.

The FA have however given O'Leary a warning and he has been 'reminded of his responsibilities in relation to his post-match celebrations'. O'Leary was also charged for using 'abusive or insulting words to a match official' at the Blues games following comments directed at Graham Poll. He wants a personal hearing and the date has yet to be set.

Maybe they could set the date for the same time as the next possible charge and save him two trips?! Because the under pressure boss could have landed himself in yet more trouble though, this time for post match comments about referee Steve Bennett following our 2-0 loss against Liverpool. O'Leary said: 'The referee couldn't wait to give certain decisions in favour of Liverpool's big players. It wasn't a penalty - the referee cost us the game, end of story.' The FA have said the comments are 'under consideration' so evidently, not 'end of story' at all!
