Vital Villa asked (by polls suggested by crossweasley and skeggy) who is the worst Villa manager.
Shock horror, our current incumbent wins with 32%. Graham Taylor (for the second spell as manager only, not for his heroics all those years back) came second with 30%. Billy McNeill was left trailing in their wake with 20%. Doctor Joe got 13%, Graham Turner got off very lightly with just 4% although to be fair, he was always going to be out of his depth and a great many fans have 'erased' those times from memory! Vic Crowe got just 1%
Following on from O'Leary's latest comments this weeks poll asks simply, O'Leary in or out?
A reminder of the recent polls on O'Leary.
Vital Villa asked, following so many comments on the forum and amongst fans generally, what your opinion of David O'Leary was. The majority, with 28%, said that the Villa manager was a joke and should be sacked. A further 23% feel that he was never a Villa man and should leave and a further 3% said that he ruined Leeds and will ruin Villa. 22% labelled him an average manager. 24% have faith in the manager and voted for the option, great manager, wrong chairman. I know this is only a poll and that a few results either way dramatically effect the percentages. Nevertheless, this is a damning incitement of the tenure of David O'Leary with 76% thinking he is anything from a joke to average. Full poll: Click Here
Vital Villa asked, following all the controversy surrounding the manager, whether David O'Leary was right to tell fans they needed to 'get real' or more exactly, that we need to be more realistic. 24% agreed that we did. Probably blue noses?! ;-)) 5% said he wasn't right at all and the vast majority (71%) said he was wrong telling us to get real and that he should himself get lost! Full poll: Click Here
Vital Villa asked who would you replace David O'Leary with if you had the opportunity. The poll was hypothetical, as no one will come to Villa whilst we have the current 'takeover' (cough cough) situation. 58% want Martin O'Neil. 8% wanted Sven, not sure if they also want his fake sheikh! 7% said Stuart Pearce, no one voted for Mark Hughes, 9% wanted someone else and 18% said they wouldn't want David O'Leary replaced. Just 18% wouldn't want the manager replaced? Full poll: Click Here
Looks like the fans are actually very realistic! Vital Villa asked, where will Villa finish this season in a poll suggested by Aronno7. 10% say it is all doom and gloom and that Villa will be relegated. 21% are more optimistic saying we will be safe - just. A massive 40% think we'll finish in the bottom half of the table. So basically 61% say safe but in the lower regions of the Prem. 14% tip us to have a mid table finish and a further 4% say top half. That leaves 11% saying we will get Uefa Cup qualification. So there you are David O'Leary, just 11% of fans are demanding Europe this season. Looks realistic to me. Full poll: Click Here
