Milner Is Fantastic

David O'Leary has told the League Managers' Association's official site that he would love to keep James Milner permanently at Aston Villa.

Milner is currently on loan from Newcastle in a deal that saw Nobby Solano move back to St James Park. O'Leary, who worked with Milner when he was at Leeds, said he thinks he'll keep improving adding:

'I really, really hope for the Villa fans, that we can keep him at Aston Villa because I think he would be tremendous for us to have.'

He also thinks the player has no chance of being picked by Sven Goran Eriksson but hopes the new manager might give him a chance.

'It depends on who's the next England manager, what he'll think of James and what he wants there. James's problem is he's up against the England captain on that right side.James is a player I think coaches will appreciate. He's made for The Premiership, in my opinion.'

Adding:

'He's got a great engine, can get and up and down the field, has great willingness to work and is fantastic for what The Premiership is about.'

Big fan of his, brilliant prospect he always tries, he by far plys the most consistent. Against Man City all of our attacks came from him it would be a crying shame to lose him.

I dont know about fantastic, but I sure as hell would like to see him signed up on a permanent deal. I've been very impressed with him, and certainly believe he's one for the future.
