Bouma In - laursen Not Out?

27 year old Dutch and PSV Eindhoven defender Wilfred Bouma has claimed he should be a Villa player before the transfer deadline. 'It is time for me to go on. A few small things still have to be settled but I don't see any problems anymore.' He continues 'I wanted to see for myself how things looked at Villa and if there were possibilities in the Premier League for me...Aston Villa is a great club. All the clubs in England are beautiful but Villa did the most to get me' The media are also reporting that he has already been to Villa Park and agreed terms.

By all accounts, this will be a great signing. The Dutch fans have been on various forums saying what a top player he is. The one simply saying 'brilliant'. Shall we push it and hope for one more player as well?!

Also, the club insist that Laursens career is not over which would be fantastic news, it would have been awful if such a talented player had his career cut short at such an early age. He is currently struggling with a knee injury which he picked up last season. DOL said 'Martin is off to America on the day of the West Ham game and we will know then what is required when he sees the surgeon out there....But I must stress that it is not a career-threatening situation. Martin will be able to play again. It is not make or break. It is a question of putting it right and how long it will take to put it right. I've seen it said by people that it could be the end but it is not the case.'

Thoroughly enjoyed that game, most entertaining! Spurs on the other hand, with only 1 win in 19 at Villa Park, might not have enjoyed it quite so much.
